Nanga masthead 3

Accommodation

The Nanga Bush Camp and Forest Retreat is situated on 80 acres of pristine forest. It is bounded on two sides by the Murray River, and all campsite facilities are within a comfortable walking distance from each other and from the river.

Nanga Bush Camp is located about 8 kms from Dwellingup, 110 Kms South of Perth. Allow approximately 1.5 hrs travel time from Perth and 1 hr from Armadale. Detailed directions are available under the "Location" menu
The map of the site shows how the various facilities are laid out.

Accommodation

Rustic accommodation is in a series of huge jarrah cabins. Expect back-to-basics shared accommodation, in three main buildings and several cottages. The three buildings are: Timbarra, Woodshed and Currawong. Most rooms consist of two double bunks (sleeping 4), but some larger rooms are available.

Each main building has an ablution block, a large commercial kitchen, barbecue and cool room, large verandahs, pot belly stove/ woodfire and an outdoor campfire. Each also has a fireman's pole to quickly get to the ground floor!

Because the Nanga Bush Camp is located in hilly country, there are limited options for campervans and camping on site. A small number of campervan and tent sites are available at the same price as sleeping in the buildings. The site is not suitable for caravans.

Alternative accomodation options

There are also various accommodation options around Dwellingup. The Dwellingup caravan park is 8.5km from Nanga, and has chalets as well as caravan sites. There are also various holiday homes for rent, as well as B&Bs. For the more adventurous or cost conscious, the Lane Poole reserve provides camping just across the river.

For information about Dwellingup and the Shire of Murray, go to the Dwellingup History & Visitor Information Centre.

The Nanga Music Festival is supported by the Dwellingup Community Compact.
