A draft program for the Nanga Music Festival was available for

Booking online…

August 5th, 2008 by nangamusic

There has been a little confusion about the booking process. We do not actually offer an online booking service. Instead, you download the booking form and email or post it in.

When you click on the download link, it takes you to another screen to complete the download. Sorry about any confusion.

Changes to Artists

July 24th, 2008 by nangamusic

Unfortunately, two artists have had to drop out of the Nanga Music Festival - Peter Bugden and Velveteen.

We have replaced them with Jonathan Brain. This is an excerpt from his Myspace page:
Based in Perth Western Australia, singer / songwriter / multi-instrumentalist Jonathan Brain has been performing across a wide range of music stages over the last ten years. 2006 sees Jonathan launch a solo career, with the recording and release of his debut solo EP Billy the Kid, a five-track alt.country / new-folk feast, where rich instrumental textures provide a backdrop for Jonathans unique voice and striking songwriting.

As a free-lance vocalist, Jonathan has performed with a diversity of groups: singing traditional sacred music with the Choir of St Georges Cathedral, avant-garde improvisation with Pantheon, contemporary classical work with Schvendes Ensemble, baroque music with Ensemble Archangelo and recently accompanying the aerial-acrobatics of the Skadada company. With these groups he has toured both Europe and Australia, broadcast live for ABC Classic fm, recorded and given numerous concerts.
