De Cuba Son (WA)

De Cuba Son is a premier Afro-Cuban band based in Perth, Western Australia. Led by musicians Arvis Mena and Jeremias Sosa, the band brings the vibrant sounds of Havana to the local dance scene, playing everything from traditional Son Cubano and salsa to boleros and contemporary Latin jazz.
They frequently perform in various sizes—ranging from a compact quartet to a full octet—featuring a dynamic lineup of bass, piano/keys, guitar, percussion, and horn sections. Their repertoire includes homages to legends like Compay Segundo and the Buena Vista Social Club, along with their own suite of original music.
